Keswick Film Festival

For what seems like most of the last year I’ve slowly been making changes to the Keswick Film Festival website.  A lot of the changes took place behind the scenes: changing servers, moving databases, consolidating data and sharing common functionality with the Keswick Film Club website.    The more visible changes to the site were intended to maintain the style that was so well received at last years festival but de-cluttering  the design to hopefully make it look better and easier to use.  Considering my somewhat limited design skills I don’t think it looks too bad.

I’ve also started to work on some new functionality to allow visitors to save films they want to see and rate them when they have.  Unfortunately a lack of time has prevented these features from being fully integrated into the site but they are present  in a basic form.  Hopefully after this years festival I’ll have more time to further develop these and other features so the 2011 Festival site is a lot more interactive.

Finally, in time for the Festival taking place between 25th and 28th of Febuary, a recent update to the stylesheet brought the site in line with the excellent new brochure designed by Genevieve Porter at The University of Cumbria.

As always, I’m happy to receive any feedback but I’m going to be busy with other things in the run up to the festival so it’s unlikely they’ll be any more major changes.
